Biography

Christina received her B.S. in Cognitive Science from Yale University, and was an Intensive Education Studies Scholar. As a Predoctoral Research Associate for ND Pop, she works in the Studying Processes in Everyday Life (SPIEL) Lab under Dr. Ryan Carpenter, and in the Childhood Adolescence and Resilience (CARE) Lab under Dr. Elizabeth Shewark. In the SPIEL Lab she assists with projects utilizing interviews and ecological momentary assessments to better understand opioid use, alcohol use, and treatments for substance use disorders, and through her work in the CARE Lab she aims to better understand how family environments and varied life experiences impact children’s socioemotional development and academic outcomes. After ND Pop, Christina hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and is especially interested in how adverse events influence child development and family systems.
