Biography

Andrew Lugo is a graduate of the University of California Santa Barbara. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Minor in Philosophy. Andrew plans to pursue a PhD in Economics to study questions in economic history, labor economics, and public policy. As a current Predoctoral Research Associate for ND Pop, he works directly with Dr. Kasey Buckles and Dr. Jeff Denning on multiple empirical projects including the novel Census Tree dataset, the economics of higher education, and the effects of prohibition on long-run economic outcomes. As an ND Pop predoc, he is excited to contribute to meaningful research and further his academic career.
