Biography
Hadin Sayed graduated from the University of Michigan with a double major in Economics and Spanish. At ND Pop, he assists Dr. Steven Alvarado and Dr. Elizabeth McClintock in their research. With Dr. Alvarado, Hadin applies machine learning techniques to restricted-access National Longitudinal Survey data at the Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC) in Chicago. Using data from the American Time Use Survey, he also supports Dr. McClintock’s research that examines gender differences in childcare. Hadin is broadly interested in quantitative empirical work for its ability to help us simplify a complex world and uncover relationships that can lead to meaningful change in people’s lives. He thoroughly enjoys the investigative nature of empirical research, where you start with a question and, using the proper data and method, can generate plausible causal evidence. After ND Pop, he plans to pursue a PhD in Economics, focusing on development economics and the economics of religion.
